2. Information We Collect

Account Information

Name, email address, password, business name, ABN, and contact details provided during registration.

Financial & Business Data

Transactions, invoices, expenses, payroll records, tax records, and other accounting data you enter or upload to the platform.

Third-Party Platform Data

Data imported from connected services such as Xero and MYOB, including chart of accounts, transactions, contacts, and invoices. This data is only imported when you explicitly authorise the connection.

Bank Feed Data

Bank transaction data retrieved via our bank feeds provider (Basiq), only when you provide consent and authorise the connection.

Usage & Analytics Data

Information about how you use the platform, including pages visited, features used, device type, and browser information, collected via Google Analytics (GA4).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide the ManageYourTax service, including accounting, invoicing, payroll, and reporting features
• Power AI-driven analysis and insights (such as transaction categorisation, cash flow forecasting, and AI-generated reports)
• Support tax compliance features including BAS preparation and STP reporting
• Send transactional communications (invoices, receipts, account notifications)
• Improve the platform through aggregated, anonymised usage analytics
• Respond to support requests and communications

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to deliver the platform. Each service processes data in accordance with their own privacy policies:

• Google Cloud Platform / Firebase — hosting, authentication, and database (Sydney region)
• Stripe — payment processing for paid subscriptions
• Basiq — bank data aggregation for bank feeds
• Xero / MYOB — accounting data import (user-authorised)
• Anthropic — AI analysis engine. Your data is not used to train AI models.
• SendGrid — transactional email delivery
• Google Analytics — anonymised usage analytics

5. Data Storage & Security

All primary data is stored in Australia, specifically in the Sydney region (australia-southeast1) on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest and in transit, secure authentication, and access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct any inaccurate or out-of-date information
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Export your data in a portable format
• Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe your privacy has been breached
